Running With Bears

Not entirely Outdoor related, but in a way it is. I won't spam you with this, but I'd like to post it here at least once. Please take a moment and share if you can. <3

It's always hard for me to do this, looking to others for support, but if I do nothing, it is even worse, right? So here is where I begin:

At the core of everything that I am is an artist. A lot of ways, traditionally. In otherways, not so much. In the end though, photography has always been my passion. I would be more willing to stop paying rent and live on the street than give up my camera equipment, but give it up I did. Still, there could be no better reason to surrender it than my own. Willow, my 1 year old daughter!

Most of you who know me, or of me, know that the lifestyle my family chooses to live is one of sustainability, the natural world, and natural methods. Sure, we could have gone to a hospital and had insurance pay everything, but that is not us or how we wanted our daughter to come into the world. There was no hesitation in our decision, we would have a 100% natural home birth. We did it. It was amazing!

Still, it was also expensive. I sold everything I had to make this happen. Most of that "Everything" was my camera equipment. Thousands of dollars worth. The trade was obviously more than fair, but now over a year later, my heart aches for it's missing passion. Having a family to provide for, I've been unable to find myself able to afford what took me many years to gather.

Photography is more than a dream and a hobby. It is the way I want to spend my life. The way I want to live and provide. The idea of showing others the world that I see. My dream, my goal, is to live in this world doing something that I love, and I am hoping you can help me make that happen once more. I've even provided some of my photos so you can judge for yourself!

To get back everything that I once had, I am looking at almost 3,300 dollars, but absolutely anything will help and be greatly appreciated. For those who are overtly generous, I will find some way to acknowledge your generousity (A free photoshoot, a print of your choice from my work, etc)... For those who donate and can only provide "Little" My gratitude will still be boundless, and I will make sure that you are some how acknowledged (If you choose to be)!
